Enterprise Connect Data Access Integrated Product Set

The Enterprise Connect Data Access Integrated Product Set contains a base product and options:

Base
The base product provides the fundamental building blocks for connectivity between LAN-based clients and enterprise data sources. You may use the features of the base product to transparently access multiple data sources as if the data were stored in a single database, and perform heterogeneous joins across multiple platforms.

Options:

• ECDA Option for Oracle
  Enterprise Connect Data Access Option for Oracle provides the Direct Connect component to enable dynamic access to Oracle databases. It also includes the necessary Oracle ODBC drivers required for connectivity embedded in the option.
• ECDA Option for ODBC
  Enterprise Connect Data Access Option for ODBC provides the DirectConnect component to enable dynamic access to IBM DB2 UDB, Microsoft SQL Server and any other ODBC-compliant database. The ODBC drivers required for connectivity with these various databases are not embedded in the option and need to be licensed separately from appropriate third-party vendors.
