How to Manage Cookies in your Browser
This page provides illustrated instructions on how to block cookies in the most popular browsers.
Note: Blocking cookies may prevent certain areas of the Web sites from displaying correctly, and will prevent access to personalized areas such as MySybase.
Select your web browser:
Internet Explorer 7:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click the Tools menu at the top, and then click Internet Options.
- Click the Privacy tab, and then, under Settings, move the slider to the top to block all cookies or to the bottom to allow all cookies, and then click OK.
Internet Explorer 8:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click the Tools menu button, and then click Internet Options.
- Click the Privacy tab, and then, under Settings, move the slider to the top to block all cookies or to the bottom to allow all cookies, and then click OK.
Internet Explorer 9:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click the Tools menu button, and then click Internet Options.
- Click the Privacy tab, and then, under Settings, move the slider to the top to block all cookies or to the bottom to allow all cookies, and then click OK.
FireFox:
- Open the FireFox browser
- Click the "Tools" menu at the top, and then select "Options"
- Click the "Privacy" icon at the top of the options menu
- Deselect (uncheck) the "Accept cookies from sites" option.
- Click OK to save your changes.
Chrome:
- Open the Google Chrome browser
- Click the small wrench icon in the upper right corner, then click "Settings"
- From the left nav, click "Under the Hood", then click the "Content Settings" button
- Under Content Settings, select "Block sites from setting any data" and "Block third-party cookies and site data"
- Your changes are saved automatically, and you may now close the settings windows.
Safari:
- Open the Safari browser
- Click the small menu icon in the far right corner
- Select "Preferences..."
- Click the "Privacy" icon
- Under "Block Cookies", select the "Always" option.
- When you close the settings window, your changes will automatically be saved.
