Dear Valued Sybase Customer:
We would like to invite you to upgrade to the latest version of the Aleri Streaming Platform, enhanced and re-branded as Sybase Event Stream Processor (ESP). Sybase ESP adds an exciting new Studio design with the ability to switch back and forth between visual and textual project editors. The Studio combines both CCL (the innovative SQL-based event programming language created by Coral8) and SPLASH (the ground-breaking scripting language for function and operator extensibility created by Aleri), and facilitates creation and reuse of user-defined modules. The Engine features an advanced cluster architecture that allows any number of machines to function as a "virtual server" and enables dynamic runtime modifications. Of course, other enhancements and bug fixes are provided as well.
While we will continue to provide support for Aleri Streaming Platform products through the end of the engineering support dates outlined below, you will be best served by planning to migrate to the latest release of the corresponding Sybase ESP products as soon as practical.
This letter provides official notification of the planned end of engineering support for the following versions of Sybase products.

Sybase encourages you to plan to upgrade your software to the latest release of the supported product(s) identified in the Migration Path column before the respective end of the engineering support date shown in the table above.
For customers having a current Support Agreement for a product who have elected not to migrate to a supported product by the end of engineering support, continued limited technical support assistance will be made available, subject to the availability of resources. This limited assistance after the end of engineering support consists of providing existing interim releases (i.e., updates, if any, developed for the product prior to the end of engineering support), telephone and electronic assistance, and migration advice to customers migrating to Sybase supported products. It does not include engineering support, new bug fixes or integration of any bug fixes into previous updates.
