Replication Agent for SQL Anywhere was originally developed to allow a SQL Anywhere database to participate in a Sybase Replication Server installation as a primary site. Replication Server is a connection-based technology intended for the two-way replication of transactions. Since the introduction of Replication Agent for SQL Anywhere, Sybase has developed a flexible, powerful, and easy-to-use technology called MobiLink that provides bi-directional synchronization between SQL Anywhere clients and various back-end databases. MobiLink can be used as a migration path from Replication Agent for SQL Anywhere when bi-directional synchronization is required between SQL Anywhere and Adaptive Server Enterprise.
After the end of the Sybase engineering support date, Sybase will continue to make interim releases available (i.e., updates, if any, developed for the product prior to the end of engineering support) as well as retain on-line technical documents related to the product(s) to assist you with technical issues. In addition to these resources, Sybase Technical Support may be provided under the Advanced Services offerings, for a fee, subject to the availability of knowledgeable resources. Sybase Professional Services would also be pleased to work with you to identify alternative means to achieve your business goals.
