Dear Valued Sybase Customer:

This letter provides notification of important upcoming changes to your license profile. 

A new version of Sybase RAP - The Trading Edition (Sybase RAP) is now available.  As a licensee of "Prior RAP Products" (RAP - The Trading Edition R2 (or earlier) and/or Risk Analytics Platform version 3.x (or earlier) you are entitled to move to the Sybase RAP Standard (Legacy) edition of this new release.  Please note that an active support contract is required for Prior RAP Product licenses you would like to migrate. 

Sybase RAP Standard (Legacy) includes support for use of any number of servers in a RAPStore multiplex, an entitlement handed down from your Prior RAP Products.  Note that this entitlement is not present in the non-legacy version of Sybase RAP Standard.  To preserve your access to this entitlement your license profile will be updated the week of November 16th to include the new catalog numbers for Sybase RAP Standard (Legacy).  The table below illustrates the license migration path:

After your license profile is updated, you will no longer have access to software and license downloads for Prior RAP Products on the Sybase Product Download Center (SPDC).  We encourage you to download and archive software and licenses for any Prior RAP Products you may need prior to the week of November 16th.  Following your license profile update, if you need access to Prior RAP Products software or licenses, you may contact CS&S for assistance.

Should you need to add to your migrated Sybase RAP R3 environment, please contact your sales representative who can prepare an order for additional Sybase RAP Standard (Legacy) licenses. 

Your sales representative can also discuss your options to upgrade from Sybase RAP Standard (Legacy) licenses to Sybase RAP Enterprise (Legacy) licenses.  Sybase RAP Enterprise (Legacy) provides exciting new capabilities within the RAPStore component, such as advanced VLDB features (including data and storage partitioning), built-in time series analytics and extensible C/C++ user-defined functions (UDFs).
