INTRODUCTION
Sybase IQ 15.0 includes numerous new features, such as data partitioning support, next-generation parallelism, enhancement of multiplex capabilities, and other enhancements contributing to class-leading performance. These performance enhancements, in conjunction with the HP – Itanium architecture, have shown approximately 50% or greater performance improvement over IQ 12.7 on HP Itanium and PA RISC architecture machines. This paper provides results of testing that demonstrates the performance gain between IQ 12.7 and IQ 15.0.
