Sybase Unwired Enterprise Strategy Takes Center Stage at 10th Annual Techwave Conference

Company strengthening enterprise mobility, information management leadership; showcasing strategies for continued growth

LAS VEGAS – SYBASE TECHWAVE 2008 CONFERENCE – August 5, 2008 – Sybase, Inc. (NYSE: SY), the largest enterprise software and services company exclusively focused on managing and mobilizing information, welcomes a community of developers, database administrators, IT managers, sales professionals and executives from around the world to Las Vegas this week for its 10th annual TechWave User Training and Solutions Conference. This year’s event will highlight Sybase’s Unwired Enterprise strategy, which brings together information management and mobility solutions to enable enterprises to unwire their data, employees and customers.

“This is an exciting time for Sybase. We have been successfully executing on our Unwired Enterprise strategy for several years and its growing adoption is underscored by our record results in 2007 and the first half of 2008,” said John Chen, chairman, CEO and president of Sybase. “With enterprises’ customers and employees demanding real-time, free-formed access to information, the vision of the Unwired Enterprise is continuing to become a reality. Sybase is uniquely positioned to provide the infrastructure and access through our analytics, mobility software and network hubs.”

“Sybase is more efficient, more productive, and better able to capitalize on new opportunities than ever before,” Chen added. “We look forward to sharing this excitement and showcasing our innovation during our annual TechWave event.”

Throughout this week, Sybase will follow through on its promise of unwiring the enterprise by unveiling a series of new product releases designed to meet the needs of developers and end-users alike – from mobility platforms to data management systems, and developer tools.
