Dear Valued Sybase Customer,

This letter provides notification of the end of engineering support for the following versions of Sybase product(s).

Product Version Platform Language End of Engineering Support Migration Path
Software Developer Kit 12.5.X All All 12/31/2009 SDK 15.x on the same platform (except for platforms that have been discontinued in SDK 15.x.) Please see below for a list of platforms that are not supported by SDK 15.x

The following platforms of Software Developer Kit version 12.5.x are not available with Software Developer Kit version 15.x:

If you are licensed for one of the above-referenced platforms, please migrate to a platform that is supported by Software Developer Kit 15.x.

Sybase encourages you to begin migration plans as soon as possible to upgrade your software before the end of engineering support to the supported version identified in the "Migration Path" column as shown in the table above.

Please note that Sybase is under no obligation to support product releases running on platforms/OS versions where the original vendor has ceased to provide general support for the underlying platforms/OS versions. Sybase makes no commitment to support any product releases running on platforms/ OS versions after the date on which the original vendor has terminated general support of the underlying platforms/OS versions. Sybase is also under no obligation to certify new combinations of system hardware and software. Sybase will use commercially reasonable efforts, subject to the availability of resources, to provide limited technical support assistance for product releases operating on platforms/OS versions that are no longer supported by the original vendor.

For customers having a current Support Agreement who have elected not to migrate to a supported release by the end of engineering support, continued limited technical support assistance will be made available, subject to the availability of resources. This limited assistance after the end of engineering support consists of providing existing interim releases (i.e., updates, if any, developed for the product prior to the end of engineering support), telephone and electronic assistance, and migration advice to customers upgrading to Sybase supported products. It does not include engineering support, new bug fixes or integration of any bug fixes into previous updates.
