A problem has been identified in the JDK/JRE releases from Sun intended to fix the Daylight Savings Time functions in the JDK/JRE to comply with the New US Daylight Savings Time rules starting in 2007.
To comply with the new US DST rules these JDK/JRE versions were used in some Sybase products, or in some cases Sybase customers were instructed to download them for use with Sybase products.
The problem is still under investigation by Sun Microsystems and as of the writing of this document, there is no known patch available.
