Making Government User-friendly
As part of an e-Business initiative, the State Economic and Trade Commission (SETC) of the People's Republic of China needed to manage information from across its organization and from key enterprises. With 20 offices, departments and bureaus, the online platform had to deliver everything from national economic analyses to enterprise construction and operations information.
For this, the SETC required a cost-effective solution that could efficiently and securely handle massive volumes of information.
The National Key Enterprise Information System
Using Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) optimized for the Red Flag Linux operating system, the SETC created the National Key Enterprise Information System. This important e-Business project allows online declarations of construction from Chinese enterprises, automatically collects data and performs statistical economic analyses and enables organizations to deliver reports on day-to-day operations. This solution lets users across the SETC share critical information.
