Suffering the inefficiencies and multiple data entry points of a legacy paper-based system among its legion of field service technicians, Otis Elevator wanted a solution that would provide critical, up-to-date information in a mobile computing environment. The company's global operations required a solution that was scalable and flexible regarding device and connectivity support, while also delivering accuracy and timeliness to efficiently record service activities, maintain inventory information and facilitate billing processes.
Innovative Mobilization
The Otis Mobile Enablement Middleware Program, an in-house initiative toward the global mobilization of the company's service technicians, deployed the OneBridge Mobile Platform for wireless access to mission-critical service information, regardless of handheld device, wireless standard, network or carrier.
Centralizing Support and Responsiveness
Otis now has a single mobile platform that allows centralized management and support.
