PowerBuilder 8.0 supports individual languages, including DBCS, in their localized Windows environments.

For example, PowerBuilder 8 supports Traditional Chinese in the Chinese version of Windows (Windows 98, Windows 2000 or Windows NT), and Korean in the Korean version of Windows.

PowerBuilder 8 does not support DBCS languages in the Western Europe and United States version of Windows (Windows 98, Windows 2000 or Windows NT), with Microsoft add-on language tools installed. The reason for this is that PowerBuilder 8 uses the Windows locale to understand the current language but does not use the add-on language support.
