Configuring ASE with Multiple Engines
Description
On ASE 11.5.1 and later, there is a bug that prevents you from configuring ASE with Unicode UTF-8 as the default character set and multiple engines. A Unicode-enabled ASE configured to run with multiple engines will fail to boot.
Workaround
Configure ASE to use one engine.
Solution
Call Technical Support and request EBF #8459. This fix works with ASE 11.9.2 and later.
Alternatively, this bug was fixed in version 11.9.2.1 and you can upgrade your server to this version.
